Situated in Silverlake, Los Angeles, the library aims to create expansive spaces that can accomodate a multitude of programs.

Program is broken up into large (communal reading rooms) and small (study rooms / computer labs) scale spaces.

In order to get column free spaces, the vierndeel truss is the primary structural system employed. The flexibility of the free plan in conjunction with the glass facade allows the library to interact with the external environment and create spaces that merge the elements on indoor and outdoor spaces into one.
